Back again after yet another long gap in between posts, we’ve been so busy looking at new premises, working on new flavours and generaly being absorbed in other things and forgetting to keep blogging, will try and remedy that, though its easier from now , we’re away from home more doing interesting things I can type about lol, this weekend gone Suzie was at the Chester Food Festival, met some very interesting people did some great networking and was approached by a lady that does PR and wanted to help us out, she was also asked to participate in Britains Best Dish on the BBC so watch this space.
I on the other hand was at the Slippit Inn MAG rally in Gloustershire, as Rob put it “An interesting and windswept weekend !”. It was a reallgood weekend, well organised and full of friendly bods
We met some cracking people (waves to the British Legion Riders, The Sisterhood, The Petrol Heads and everyone else who came to the stall for jerky ‘n’ chats, I will be putting photo’s up as soon as I know how. The weather was unusual to say the least, in one day we had rain, snow, hail, sleet and lovely bright warm sunlight, though lots ‘n’ lots of wind, thursday night I didnt sleep at all due to the noice of the plastic tarp flapping, luckily suzie delivered a huge piece of canvas on her way to chester friday morning so we were saved. We met up with Alex ‘n’ Dave and proceeded to drown the cold out with cider and ale huddled around our brazier, fudge got walked by lots of different people and slept ALL day sunday on the sofa when we got back home. I invented the Passerole ( a thick homemade meat n potato pie broken into a pan of thick gravy its pieliscious specially on top of a windswept hill in the snow), we also discovered that in a dire emergency that can only be saved by warm wine , if you add an apple cinnamon and ginger fruit leather to a cauldron full of wine and orange juice it makes a passable mulled wine.
All in all a very relaxed and “chilled” out weekend
