How long does jerky last?
If kept unopened it can easily last for 6 months as it is very resilient, and we vacuum seal it. After opening it will keep for days, and in our experience weeks. The only caveat is to avoid getting it wet, as this will drastically reduce the shelf-life.
How do you eat it?
Jerky is usually eaten as a snack, directly. It requires no preparation.
Vegetarian jerky?
Our vegetarian jerky is made from tofu, a soy based product. It contains no meat and is made in an area entirely free from meat and with separate utensils.
What are fruit scrolls?
Fruit scrolls are made from fruit, with all natural ingredients and no added sugar or preservatives. They are made by pureeing, cooking and drying different blends of fruits, spices and other flavours. They are ideal as a healthy snack, to put in lunchboxes for kids, to carry on camping trips or for outdoors food that is nutritious but doesn't need to be cooked. All of our fruit scrolls are apple based, apple is used as the binding agent which is blended with other fruits, spices etc. They are pureed and then air dried in flat sheets to preserve their natural goodness. Each fruit scroll contains about 2.5 of your 5 a day, and some flavours as many as 4!
